Frederick "Freddy" Di Capua Obituary
Frederick M. Di Capua, 62, of Middletown, known affectionately as Freddy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Pomona, NJ. Born on April 10, 1962, in Red Bank, NJ, Freddy was a man whose vivacity and skill as a carpenter left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Freddy's early years were spent in the Bayshore area, where he grew up surrounded by the love and care of his family. Sadly, his father, Frederick Di Capua, preceded him in death in 2011, but his lessons and memories remain a guiding force.
He is survived by a constellation of family members who cherished him dearly. His daughter, Corinne DiCapua of Middletown, was his pride and joy, and their bond was one of mutual admiration and deep love. Freddy's mother, Ann Di Capua of Middletown, always held a special place in his heart, as did his siblings, Angela (William) Marinella of Aberdeen, Anthony Di Capua of Middletown, Louis (fiancée Mellissa Morales) of Howell, and George (Cami) Di Capua of Aberdeen, all of whom shared in the joys and challenges of life with him. Kathleen Brant of Keansburg, the mother of his daughter, alongside many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, will fondly remember Freddy for his warmth, humor, and the care he extended to each of them.
Professionally, Freddy was a self-employed carpenter, a vocation that was both his calling and his passion. His hands were skilled in the art of building and fixing, creating structures, and mending what was broken. His work wasn't just a job; it was a manifestation of his love for tangible, lasting achievements, and his creations will serve as a testament to his dedication and hard work.
Freddy's interests were as varied as they were engaging. He found joy in the simplicity of gardening, the patience of fishing and crabbing, and the strategy involved in playing cards. His love for the outdoors was matched by his love for his family, with whom he spent countless hours sharing his hobbies and laughter. Living life to the fullest wasn't just a phrase for Freddy; it was a daily practice.
Those who knew Freddy understood that his heart was as open as his door, always welcoming friends and family for gatherings or to lend a helping hand. His generosity of spirit and the ability to find happiness in every moment made him a beacon of light in the lives of many.
As we bid farewell to Frederick M. Di Capua, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and joy. His memory will continue to inspire us, his laughter will echo in our hearts, and his legacy will live on through the work of his hands and the love he shared. Freddy's passing leaves a void in our lives, but we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever remain a part of us.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Jacqueline M Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg.
