Frederick Lee Nutter was born January 07, 1946, to Helen Cropper and Frederick Wilkinson. Affectionately known as "Freddy" or "Snookie" to friend and loved ones, he was lovingly adopted by Eleanor and Bailey Nutter. Freddy departed this earthly life suddenly on July 26, 2023.
Freddy grew up in Nanticoke, Maryland and was educated in the Wicomico County School District. Upon graduation in 1964 from Salisbury High School, he entered the United States Armed Services until his honorable discharge in 1967. Subsequently, he worked at Wayne Pump Dresser, Campbell Soup and Open Roads until finally settling on a career at the United States Postal Service, where he was employed for thirty-three dedicated years. He was past president of the postal workers union.
During his retirement he humbly served the NA/AA (Narcotics Anonymous/Alcoholic Anonymous) community diligently. With over thirty years of sobriety, he was a mentor and leader to many. Freddy also was a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), and the American Legion.
Freddy was known for having the 'gift to gab' and could be counted on for being punctual to a 'T'. He enjoyed a good debate and always had to have the last word. His guiding philosophy was "Trust God." Always willing to lend a helping hand; he was never far from his beloved Dodge truck and never missed a Cowboys football game.
Leaving to cherish his memories are one daughter, Shirvonda M. Nutter-Clifton of Glen Burnie, MD, two grandchildren, Bre'Anna M. Clifton of Laurel, MD, Darrin L. Ennels Jr. of Dover, DE, and three great grandchildren, other relatives, Julius Nutter (Joyce) of St. Robert, MO, Thomas Nutter (Ruth) of Philadelphia, PA, Ramona Hopkins (James) of Seaford, DE, Gwendolyn Barnett (Gary) of Bowie, MD, Edith Naomi Nutter (Jerry) of Nanticoke, MD, Penny Thompson of Salisbury, MD, Phillip Maddox of Seaford, DE, Benjamin Wilkinson of Snellville, GA, Elnathan Wilkinson of McDonough, GA, Deborah Sanya of Decatur, GA, and Yosefina Wilkinson of Jamaica, NY, brothers-in-law, Allen Brown and Roy Lee Dozier, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Freddy was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Cropper and Frederick Wilkinson, sisters, Julia Brown, Regina Dozier, Spinal Mills and brother, Nervin Byrd.
"Remembering you is easy, but Missing you is so painful."

THE FAMILY
(A Psalm of David.)
1.The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
