Reuther, Frederick "Fred" – of Birch Run, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Fred's life will be held at 1PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Gary VanderVeen to officiate. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 11AM until 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Community Church.

Fred was born April 5, 1938, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Leo and Florence (Scott) Reuther. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961, until his honorable discharge in 1963. After his service, he dedicated 38 years of his life to General Motors as a stock chaser, retiring in 1998. He married his sweetheart, Alice, on December 2, 1962, and together they created many memories. Fred was a man of strong values and faith, regularly attending Calvary Community Church, where he cherished his church family. Fred was a sports enthusiast who loved playing ball-from blooper ball to fast pitch-and actively participated in a 50-and-older league in Florida. He was an avid golfer and a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers. Traveling brought Fred great joy, particularly his cherished visits to Florida, where he enjoyed the sun and warmth. He was also a true food connoisseur, enjoying the experience of dining out and exploring new restaurants. Above all, Fred treasured his family. He was a loving father to his daughters and was known for his playful spirit, always ready to share a loving tease with his three girls. His ability to fill a room with laughter will remain in our hearts forever.

Surviving are: Daughters: Shelly (Dan) Eichenhofer, Kim (Clyde) Shepherd and Sherry (Moses) Stanley; Grandchildren: Jamie King, Kyle Ott, Savannah Shepherd, Zach Shepherd; Great Granddaughters: KayLyn King and Alice Mileski; Half siblings: Shirley (Wes) Van Malsen, Linda (Dan) Ashworth; Step brothers: Pete (Betty) Pardel, Edward (Kathy) Pardel and Stanley (Linda) Pardel; He was blessed with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Alice Reuther; Grandson, Daniel Eichenhofer Jr; Sister, Ann McCoy, Barbara Keith; Brother, James Reuther.
