Obituary for Fredrick Phillip Rung April 8, 1975 – July 25, 2025
Fredrick Phillip Rung, age 50, of Blairstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, at his home. Born on April 8, 1975, to Fred Peter Rung and Ann K. Redling, Fredrick was a kind-hearted soul with a passion for life and an enthusiasm for many of the things that brought joy to him.
Fredrick was known for his love of music, particularly his talent for singing. He enjoyed immersing himself in the vibrant sounds of the Big Jersey Shore local music circuit. It was a language he spoke fluently, and it was through this medium that he connected with many, leaving a lasting impact.
Outside of his musical pursuits, Fredrick was an avid fan of video games, finding solace and excitement in his favorite worlds. He was particularly fond of War Hammer, where the open world allowed him to embark on grand adventures as well as RPG (Role-Playing) games, where he could step into the shoes of imaginative characters he crafted himself. Fredrick loved the sense of escape that these games provided and was known to lose himself for hours in their intricacies.
He also had a competitive streak and enjoyed the camaraderie of a good game of billiards, where his sharp focus and skill made him a formidable opponent. Another hobby close to his heart was playing Magic: The Gathering, a card game he enjoyed with friends, often engaging in spirited matches that sparked both camaraderie and friendly competition.
Fredrick is survived by his devoted long-time partner of 18 years, Kim Krauss, who was his confidant and support throughout their years together and his Aunt Margret Redling
Fredrick's legacy and spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew him best, his passion for the things he loved, and his unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Frederick, please visit our Tree Store.
