Fredrick Byrd, Jr. was born to Fredrick Byrd, Sr. and Scharlie Mae Byrd on January 10, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas.

Fredrick also known as "Junior" received Christ at an early age where he attended Sanford Chapel in his youth.

He attended school in the San Antonio Independent School District, where he met his lifelong partner, Janis Annette Byrd in 1975. They joined in matrimony 1980 and to this Union 4 children were born.

His interests included family, BBQing, Sports, and he was a true Dallas Cowboys and Spurs fan. He devoted most of his time to his wife, children, grandchildren and those dear to him.

Fredrick Byrd, Jr. 65, passed away on June 28, 2025, with his family by his side in San Antonio, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Scharlie Mae Byrd; brother, Robert C. Byrd (Gina); aunt, Violet Ann Byrd; uncles, Charles Ware, Jr., Ellis Byrd, Dean Byrd, and Ronald Clayton Byrd; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Johnnie Mae and Charles Ware, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Ruth Byrd.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories, his lovely wife, Janis Annette Byrd and beautiful children and grandchildren: NaTashia Jones-Byrd, Donerick Jones-Byrd (Dametra), Sharone Jones-Byrd and Shemica Byrd(Chuckie). Grandchildren: Fredrick, Marcus, Scharlie, Donerick Jr,Dalaysia, Keyona, Dateral, Phillip Jr. Krystal, Treynae, Treyvion, Tyranique Traydion; great-grandchildren, Adonis, Apollo, Alister, Sania, Khelani, Ky, Malaysia, Treyvion Jr, Kasiya, and Grace; Father, Fredrick Byrd, Sr.(Brenda); siblings, Edwin Byrd (Arlene), Sylvester Byrd (Tanisha), Ronald Byrd-Cooper (Anna), and Vincent Byrd (Dawn); sister, Danielle Byrd; uncle, James Prosser (Skip); aunts, Sylvia Robinson, Glynda Jenkins (Terry), and Sherry Doolittle (Michael); a close cousin, Tonya Sowles; In Laws, Lynda Williams (Godfrey), Annita Phillips (Wilbur), Tony Jones, Terry Jones and John Jones; a lifelong dear friend, Herman Carter (Skeeter); and a host of other relatives and friends.
