Fredrick W. Renn

ELIZABETHVILLE - Fredrick Watson Renn, age 85, of Elizabethville, died December 24, 2024, at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born on March 15, 1939 in Elizabethville, PA the son of the late Wildon Clyde Renn, Sr. and Irene Naomi (Watson) Renn.
He went to elementary, junior and senior high school in Elizabethville, and graduated from business school in Harrisburg.
Fredrick was married to the late Marian Jean (Miller) Renn.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Elizabethville and formerly of Trinity U.M.C., Elizabethville.
Fred was a member of Ashlar Lodge No. 570, F&AM, Lykens where he served as worshipful master in 1983, 1986, and 2007, a member of Harrisburg Consistory AASR, Perseverance Royal Arch Chapter No. 21, Harrisburg Council R&SMM No. 7, Pilgrim Commandery No. 11, Zembo Shrine, Glen Chapter No. 425 OES where he served as worthy patron 1993-2001, 2007-2011, and 2018-2022, U.D. Shrine Club Charter Member and past president, U.D. Lions Club, the Community Grange #2084, and was a life member of Reliance Hose Co., Elizabethville.
He enjoyed traveling to masonic meetings where he made many good friends over the years.
Fred is survived by his nephews Wildon C. Renn, III, Rick C. Renn, Roger C. Renn, and niece Renee Renn Newfield, step-children Robert, Debra, Todd, and Scott Rudisill. He is also survived by five grand nephews, and four grand nieces.
In addition to his wife Marian he was preceded in death by a brother Wildon C. Renn, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, December 30th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Elizabethville, and again Tuesday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM. OES services will be held Monday evening at 7:30PM and Masonic services at 7:45PM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday morning, December 31st with The Rev. Joseph Yorks officiating, and burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
