It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen A. Renn, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. Stephen was born on Wednesday, June 14th, 1967, in New Albany, Indiana. He spent much of his life and made countless memories there. He peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at the age of 58 in New Albany.

Stephen enjoyed a fulfilling career in security, where he served as a corrections officer, a role in which he took immense pride and dedication. A cherished member of Southeast Christian Church, Stephen's faith was a guiding force in his life. His gentle nature, kindness, and quick wit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Stephen is survived by his loving siblings, Mark Wood (Donna) and Deborah Kay Renn; his cherished nieces Tabitha, Kristin, Ambrielle and Amber, his beloved great-nieces and nephews Lydia Rose, Braxton, Bryson, Kaislee and his step-nieces Aimee and Holly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald William Renn and Mildred Lucille Renn, his sister Patricia Renn-Scanlan, his brother Donald Renn and by his step-mother of many years, Darvel Oldham Renn.

A graveside service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held at St. Joe Hill Catholic Cemetery, on Monday, August 18th, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
