Freedis Sebastian, 88, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He was born on April 15, 1937, in Turkey Creek, Kentucky to his late parents, Dailey and Addie (nee McIntosh) Sebastian. He served in the United States Naval Reserves from 1956 – 1959. He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service and he was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was preceded in death by his wife, America Sebastian (nee Turner); seven siblings: Truman Sebastian, Jean Smith, Juanita Sargent, Edith Arkenau, Dorothy McIntosh, Wilson Sebastian and Herman Sebastian. Freedis is survived by five children: Debbie (Rick) Kruse, Theresa (Ronnie) Wooton, Kimberley (John) Little, Jeff (Micky) Sebastian and Tammie (Gary) Zandstra; four siblings: Daniel Sebastian, Oscar Sebastian, Robert Sebastian and Geneva Herald: ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Living Hope Baptist Church, 1080 Highland Avenue, Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Funeral services 10 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Living Hope Baptist Church, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with Pastor Brent Walker, officiating. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery, Independence, Kentucky. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Alexandria Funeral Home. Online condolences can be given at alexandriafh.com.
