Freeman Dyer Obituary

He was born in Kittery, Maine on December 4, 1945, the son of the late Hamilton Ripley Dyer and Louise Estelle Stroud Dyer. Mr. Dyer spent his early years working with thoroughbred race horses as a horse exercise rider at various tracks around the country. His love of animals, and kind heart, was also extended to the many rescued dogs that were given a better life by being brought into his home throughout the years. Professionally, he also cared for others as a certified pharmacy technician.
Mr. Dyer was a proud veteran having served his country in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War Era.
Survivors include: his partner, David Gilley-Neidigh; dear friends, Michael & Rebecca Shain; and brothers David and Donald Dyer.
In addition to his parents, Freeman was preceded in death by: his former partner of forty-two years, Henry Julius Walters; and sister, Myrna Grace Merrell.
A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church at a later date.
To honor his memory, donations are suggested to be made to the Humane Society Animal League of Madison County, 128 Big Hill Avenue, Richmond, KY 40475.
