Patricia Clark Dyer, born to Ellsworth and Lucile Clark, and wife of Raymond Elwin Dyer, passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 90.
Pat Dyer grew up and lived for much of her life in Narberth, Pennsylvania, while spending many summers in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. After graduating from Lower Merion High School and Harcum College, she met her husband, Raymond, while working together at Wanamaker's in Philadelphia. She was the mother to Gary Dyer and Wendy Dyer-Avis, and affectionately known as Memommy to her three grandsons Kieran Avis, Elliot Avis, and Thayer Avis.
Pat had an illustrious career working for Girl Scouts of Greater Philadelphia and Girl Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania. After holding many positions, from Field Executive to Director of Camps, she found her passion as Director of Marketing and Public Relations. She ran the cookie program with her accomplished volunteers for many years. Pat believed in the promise and laws of the Girl Scouts and brought the mission to many young women.
Pat and her husband Ray loved to travel across the country by train, visiting national parks and landmarks along the way. They were also very involved in the Narberth Community Theater, with Ray performing and Pat working on costumes and makeup. Pat also spent most Sundays of her life at the Church of the Holy Apostles in Wynnewood, where she was actively involved in the community. She participated in acts of service, such as AIDS walks and feeding the homeless, while participating with the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Pat and Ray loved their community and took every opportunity they had to help those in need.
Pat Dyer is survived by her sister Lucile Bond, her children Gary Dyer and Wendy Dyer-Avis (Michael), her grandsons Kieran Avis, Elliot Avis, and Thayer Avis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pat's memory to a charity of your choice.
