Frieda Ellen Spangenberg Mauldin, 75, of Brady, passed away Friday March 1, 2024, at home, with family by her side. Frieda Ellen Spangenberg Mauldin was born February 5, 1949, to Emil Spangenberg and Clara Cheesman in Brady.
Frieda was a devoted individual who found solace in reading her Bible and treasured moments spent with her beloved family. She enjoyed making jewelry and had a fondness for dogs and cats. Her kind and loving nature touched the lives of those around her, leaving behind cherished memories that will be held close to the hearts of all who knew her. Frieda will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Frieda is survived by her husband of 42 years, George; daughters, Ellen Shelley and husband Mike of Amarillo, Deeanna Quarles of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nancy Carter and husband James of Gordonville, Donna Tinney and husband Clinton of Brady, Georgetta Brown and husband Zac; son George Mauldin, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Rochelle; sisters Paula Lancaster of Brady, Gail Coles of San Antonio and Pam Ripple of Ballinger; brothers Robert Lancaster of Mineral Wells and Donald Lancaster of Luling. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil Spangenberg and Clara Cheesman; daughters Elsie Ripple and Rachael; great grandson Wynston Tinney; brother Joe Lancaster; and sister Sharon Spangenberg.
A memorial service is being held Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Living Water Church, 805 N Bridge St, Brady, Texas. Private graveside services will be held.
