Gabriel Hernandez, born on February 13, 1984, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on August 24, 2025, in his beloved hometown. He was a shining light in the lives of those who knew him, known for his great sense of humor that could effortlessly lift spirits and bring smiles to faces.
Gabriel's life was marked by a rich tapestry of interests and passions. He found joy in watching Western movies and had a particular fondness for "Little House on the Prairie." His love for rock music resonated with many, as did his enjoyment of stand-up comedy shows, where laughter was always a central theme. An avid gambler at heart, he embraced the thrill of chance with a true enthusiast's spirit. Gabriel was also a noted chocolate lover and held a special place in his heart for donut holes, often sharing these simple pleasures with others.
He is survived by his stepmother, Janis Gonzalez-Mojica; his father, Alejandro Mojica; his sister, Lucy Mojica; his stepsister, Deyanira Gonzalez, and numerous cousins. Gabriel's legacy will continue to be celebrated through the love and memories shared by those who cherished him.
Gabriel is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Esther Hernandez; Grandma Lucy, grandparents Mary Helen and Ruperto Juarez. Their memories remain intertwined with his, reflecting the love and support that shaped his life.
A visitation to honor Gabriel will be held on September 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 3520 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX, 78204. Following the visitation, a prayer service will commence at 6:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to remember Gabriel and celebrate the life he lived.
