Gail Lucille Bowers, 83, of Toddville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at home with her dog Maddie by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Gail was born on January 31, 1942, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Harry and Edna (Whitlock) Hidenrick. She was united in marriage to John Bowers Jr. on June 4, 1960, and was married for 54 years.
Gail worked as a waitress for the Dragon in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years. She was a talented seamstress, making costumes for the Iowa Theater and doing private seamstress work. Gail was apart of the sewing guild in Cedar Rapids, which met every Wednesday. She enjoyed baking and reading. She never let you leave the house without a batch of cookies.
Gail is survived by her children, Aaron (Tana) Bowers, Kris (Randy) Croft, Andy (Lisa) Bowers, Angel (Cameron) Walker, and Amanda (Bill) Sorenson; grandchildren, Andrea, Rachel, Jordan, Blake, and Alexis; and three great-grandchildren.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, and two brothers.
