Gail Farrell Obituary

Gail was born on July 21, 1955, in Sundown, the daughter of the late Calvin and Rose (Franze) Parrow. She graduated from Tri Valley High School in Grahamsville and furthered her education at Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in education.
For 20 years, Gail and Mr. L. (Donn Lewandrowski) ran the high school resource room at West Canada Valley, forming many long-term friendships along the way. Gail also coached the West Canada girls' track team, leading them to several league titles.
Perhaps Gail's greatest source of pride was establishing Too Rock Stable on Honey Hill Road in Newport. Mr. L and Gail purchased their first horse in 2007, and in the past 15 years, Too Rock Stable has grown to include 14 horses, winning races across the eastern United States and Canada. Gail's idea of a perfect day always involved spending time grooming the horses and then heading to the track at night to watch them race. Gail played an instrumental role in establishing the Too Rock Stable Scholarship at West Canada.
Survivors include three sons: Anthony (Denise) Parrow of Virginia Beach, VA; Erik (Leslie) Goodman of Mechanicsville, VA; and Jason (Ashley) Goodman of Gates, NC. She is also survived by three brothers: Greg (Donna) Parrow of Sacramento, CA, Jay Parrow of Woodbourne, NY and Jon (Nancy) Parrow of Sundown, NY; a sister, Susan (Roger) Newbury of CT; a daughter-in-law, Karen Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her former husband, John Farrell, and a brother, Gary Parrow.
Special thanks are extended to Deb and Sarah, the two little angels who provided assistance to Gail during her final days.
There will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of Autenrith Funeral Home in Newport.
