ANDERSON- Gale M. Simms, 82, of Anderson passed away on June 8, 2024. He was born on April 29, 1942 in Winchester, IN and then adopted by Clifford and Maxine (Strong) Simms. They later moved to Emporia, IN and attended and graduated from Markleville High School in 1962.

He worked at the Huddle Resturant, St. Vincent's Dietary Department, Montgomery-Wards, Nicholson File, and retired from the UAW Union Hall 662 after 19 years. Gale found his spiritual home at Faith Church and was a faithful member for many years.

Gale loved cheering on the Colts, watching Walker Texas Ranger, Murder She Wrote, Criminal Minds, The Young and the Restless, and wrestling.

Gale will be dearly missed by his sons, James "Jimmy" (Juli) Simms and Phillip (Shawna) Simms; grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Simms, Melissa "Missa" (Dama) Barker, Melinda "Mena" (Andrew) Flanders, Bradley (Stephanie) Simms, Jay'lyn-Kathran Simms, Marcus Deweese, Jr., Audrey Rouse, Keli Crouch, Garrod Crouch, Robert McCoy, Gary Shirley, and Patricia Shirley; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister; and very special friend, Mary Summers.

The visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Gale's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
