Galen Eugene Reardon, age 84, of Morrison, TN, passed from this life Friday, September 5, 2025, in Murfreesboro, TN.
Mr. Reardon was born in Pittsfield, Maine to his late parents Paul Reardon and Madeline Cook Reardon. He served his country with the United States Army/Air Force in the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver for most of his life but was a jack of all trades. Mr. Reardon was an exceptional mechanic/handyman and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his grandchildren. He also loved animals and farmed for a bit during his life. Mr. Reardon liked to sing and also played in a band. He and his wife were both members of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Manchester.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald Reardon and Dennis Reardon; grandchildren, Mark Reardon Jr., Christopher Reardon, Joshua Porter, and Sarah Rose Peterson; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Reardon.
Mr. Reardon is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen Reardon; son, Mark Reardon; daughters, Sandy Mayes (John) and Gale Rogers; step-daughter, Jessica Miecielica Peterson; sister, Cheryl Polachek; grandchildren, Jeremy Reardon, Jesse Mayes, Travis Mayes, Dustin Mayes, Sierra Douglass, Amber Miecielica, Lucas Peterson, Nicholas Porter; great grandchildren, Zachary Mayes, Nathan Reardon, Isaac Reardon, Micah Reardon, Ian Menard, Chad Menard, Luna Douglass, and Ember Douglass.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11:00am in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory Memorial Cemetery in McMinnville.
