Garlin E. Watson, 55, of Akron, passed away on July 1, 2025. He was born on November 19, 1969 the son of the late Hiram and Ivory Irene Watson. Garlin grew up with his family in Barberton. Garlin was a truck driver for over 25 years. He had a sense of adventure and enjoyed traveling and seeing the sights with family and friends. He had a special sense of direction and to his family he was known as the "Human GPS". Garlin was a Classic Car enthusiast. He was a top notch mechanic and was able to fix anything. He was a man of faith and always helped others before himself.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and cousin Angela Leighton.
Garlin is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Emily L. Watson; siblings Ricky (Tina) Watson, Danny Watson, Billy (Venus) Watson, and Genie (Al) Horvath; cousin Tammy (Shawn) Lawler; mother and father-in-law Harvey and Louisa Jackson; brother-in-law Allen (Kathy) Jackson and loved and cherished Niece and Nephew Tegan and Patrick ; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins, and friends that he adored.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Thursday, July 10th, Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Ave., Akron 44305) where services will be held at 6:00pm
