Garrett Weir, 27, left us in the early hours of April 10, 2025, while at home in Canton, MS, surrounded by his parents and beloved dog, Pearl.
The family will hold a memorial for immediate family and friends at a later date.
Garrett was born January 5, 1998, in Newport, Arkansas to Terry and Katrina Weir. In addition to his parents, Garrett is survived by a sister Ashlyn Nipper and a brother Keegan Brown. Grandfathers Roger Weir and Johnny Brown. Uncle Johnny (Tara) Brown Jr. and his cousin Allie Weir.
Garrett was preceded in death by his grandmothers Vivian Weir and Allie Brown and uncle "Rusty" Weir.
Garrett was an avid car/truck enthusiast and could name any vehicle he saw on the road, plus a list of specs about that particular make, model, and year. He had a love for firearms, collecting, target practicing, and hunting when he was able. He enjoyed fishing for all fish, as long as he was catching a fish.
Garrett was very passionate about animals, especially dogs, so we ask that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Garrett's name to our local no kill animal shelter, CARA, of Jackson, MS or your favorite nonprofit.

Mrs. Kat, my heart goes out to you in this time of lose. I can not begin to imagine the pain and lose both you and Mr Terry are going through. As you have always been for me, I am here if you just need to yell at someone or talk or just sit in silence. I can take it and it would be an honor to be there for you. The past 5 years you have been so many things to me. I love you guys and I'm only a phone call away.
