Reva Waltman, 87, passed away Friday at her residence in Brandon, MS.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm Graveside at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon until 1:30 pm at Culpepper Funeral Home in Canton, MS.
Reva is survived by her daughters Richlynn Walker (Bobby) and Alicia Nowell (Jimmy), grandchildren Mallory Walker, Whitney Wilkins (Bradley), Lindsey Stallings (Dale), Kayla Cody (Chase) and Drennon Nowell (Katie), and great grandchildren Rivers Wilkins, J T Wilkins, Walker Wilkins, Sam Stallings, Olivia Stallings and Frances Cody.
Reva was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Richard Waltman, parents J G and Faire Regan Pittman, sister Roma Branch and brother Steve Pittman.
Reva was a Baptist and former bookkeeper for Primos Inc. She was a remarkable seamstress and gardener. She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her yard second to taking care of her family which was always her number one priority.
Reva was born on February 10, 1938 in Sandy Hook, MS and she grew up in Marion County. After graduating from Columbia High School, she moved to Bogalusa, LA and joined the work force. It didn't take long before she met her future husband, Richard Waltman. The two of them were married on January 30, 1959. They welcomed their first daughter in May 1960 and their second daughter in December 1962. The family of four moved from Bogalusa, LA to Marion County where they resided for over 20 years.
