Gary's academic pursuit of understanding led him to achieve a Master's degree in theology from a prestigious bible college.
For 46 years, Gary was a steadfast follower of Jesus Christ. His passion for ministering to others was reflected in his role as the pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Maryland for eight years, and in his oversight of a Home Church for four years. His sense of purpose was found in serving others and nurturing his passion for people. Known for his humor and ability to craft the perfect dad joke, Gary filled rooms with joy and laughter. In his youth, as a formidable football player, Gary earned the nickname "Animal Alban" and showcased his musical talent through the trumpet. His appreciation for nature and leisure was evident in his enjoyment of fishing and playing golf with family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, church family, and work family. Gary fulfilled his dream of moving to the mountains of WV after he retired, where he continued to pursue his passion for real estate as a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Touchdown Home Pro's Realty.
