From January 29, 1957 until May 21, 2024 Gary J. Bevel shined in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the son of parents, Loretta and Joe Rufus Bevel.
Gary was a Paxon High School eagle and graduated in 1975. He later pursued a successful career as a truck and school bus driver for twenty-five years. Known for his sharp appearance and love for clean cars, Gary was a man who did things his way, could out-ball the best back in the day, and had a great sense of humor.
He always kept up the latest news, and valued spending time with family and friends. Gary is survived by his daughter, Aundrea D. Bevel; son, Garry I. Bevel; grandson, Aiden Bevel; brothers, Mike Bevel and Joe Bevel; goddaughter/niece, ShaQuana Bevel; school bus students, Malachi, Victoria, Woodley, and many more; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Gary will be remembered for his unwavering faith, humor and style. he was a long-time member of Paxon Revival Center and was unforgettable to anyone who knew him.
