Gary Wayne Bowman

Gary Wayne Bowman, 81, of Timberville VA passed away December 30, 2025, at Timberview Crossing in Timberville.

He was born August 25, 1944 to the late Marcus and Velma Hiser Bowman.

Gary started working for Town and County Motors and stayed though many different Owners and name changes which he retired from last being Harrisonburg Auto Group. He also worked at Crawfords Exxon, enjoyed hunting and ate at Whit's Market almost every day.

On December 27,1963 he married the former Sandra Kay Sager who preceded him in death on October 8, 2012.

Gary is survived by daughter Sherry Lynn Richardi of Harrisonburg, brother, Billy Bowman, sisters; Debra Hunnicutt and husband Tommy, Virginia B. Prouty, brother-in-law William Sager and sister-in-law, Syvilla Ann Breeden and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by sisters; Bonnie Crandle, Shelia Foster, Marline Bowman, brother, Keith Bowman and brother-in-law, Eddie Sager

Rev. Marilyn Heishman will conduct a Memorial Service on January 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.

At Gary's request his body was cremated.
