Gary Burch, age 83, of Bellville, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
He was born on May 10, 1942, in Akron, Ohio to the late Harold and Helen (Bland) Burch.
Gary graduated from Howard High School in 1960 and was a United States Army Veteran. He worked as a lineman with AEP for 43 years and a serviceman for the Bellville – Lexington area. He was a member of the American Legion Post 535 and enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing at Lake Erie, and riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Those who knew Gary will remember him as someone who worked hard but also played hard!
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy (Earley) Burch; his son, John (Lucinda) Burch of Owen, Wisconsin; daughter, Yvonne (Matthew) Mercer of Chaska, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Danielle Burch, Benjamin Burch, Rachel Mercer, Ryan Mercer; along with a sister, Nancy Smith.
The family is observing private services. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. The Snyder Funeral Home – Dowds Chapel is handling the arrangements for the Burch family.
