Gary Wayne “Geeter” Lasecki, 64, of Lawton, Michigan, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Born on April 23, 1960, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Gary was the son of Alfred and Margaret (Sklebeck) Lasecki.

From an early age, Gary developed a love for speed, spending countless hours on his motorcycles and dirt bikes. His passion for music was evident in his talent as a guitar player and singer. Gary was known for his infectious sense of humor, always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day. Gary was a devoted family man who loved his dogs as much as his family. He enjoyed shooting and storytelling, often regaling others with his tales. Though fishing wasn’t his forte, he gave it his all. His skills as an electrician were unmatched-so much so that it was said he could even “wire a broken heart.” Gary was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, embodying the spirit of kindness and generosity. He was, in every sense, a great guy with an endless supply of crazy, funny stories to tell.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Rick) Slater-Foster; his stepson, Devin (Nichole) Harrison; two cherished granddaughters, Haley and Jessalyn Foster; and his beloved dogs, Bo and Sunshine, who were constant companions, brothers, Ronald (Marilyn) Lasecki and Barry (Laura) Lasecki along with many nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Annie (Tompkins) Lasecki, who passed away on October 4, 2014.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life gathering on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Otsego VFW Post #3030, 124 North Farmer Street, Otsego, MI 49078.
