Gary Donald Goffinet, age 82, of Carlisle, Oh passed away peacefully at his home on March 28, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born on February 17, 1943 to the late Willard and Annabelle (Horsley) Goffinet in Cleveland, Ohio. Gary honorably served our country in the Army from 1960-1962. After being honorably discharged, he began a career in law enforcement and retired after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Jefferson Masonic Lodge #90 in Middletown, Ohio where he served as a Past Master. Gary was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and Antioch Shrine in Dayton Ohio. He was a cherished member of Widows Sons; Brother of Boaz chapter. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Goffinet; his children Misty (John) Lindsay, Heather (Jeff) Rippl, and Linda Wolfgang; his brother, Larry (Sue) Goffinet; grandchildren Courtney, Madison, Camen, Will, Stacy, and Alexia; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his children, David Goffinet and Christy Goffinet; his parents; a brother, Clarence (Bill) Goffinet; and a sister, Brenda (Joyce) Withrow. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave, Middletown, Ohio 45005 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Masonic memorial service and funeral service will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor John Williams. The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Hospice Care of Middletown.
