Carolyn Goffinet, 79, of Cannelton, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
She was born on July 11, 1945, in Tell City, IN, to the late John Brunner Sr. and Virginia (Bowers) Lawalin.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Gary Goffinet on April 27, 1963, and together they raised 2 beautiful daughters. She had worked for Buehler's Buy-Low and later retired from MasterBrand in 2011 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, coloring books, and tending to her flowers. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and her dog Alex.
Surviving her are, Gary Goffinet; daughters, Jenny Conway (Charles) of Cannelton, and Becky (Brian) Schank of Cannelton; sisters, Delores Wright of Bristow and Pat Lawalin of Tell City; brothers, Edward Lawalin Jr. (Connie) of Gatchel, Terry Lawalin of Cannelton, Rick Lawalin of Tell City, and Allan Lawalin (Cheryl) of Cannelton; grandchildren, Eric Schank (Caroline), Clint Schank (Paige); step grandchildren, Jake Conway and Abby Conway; great-grandchildren, Reyven, Sawyer, Ellis, Sterling, Violet; a step great-grandchild, Dakota; and her companion, Dale Lautner.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, John Brunner, Sr.; her mother and stepfather, Virginia and Edward Lawalin, Sr.; a brother John Brunner, Jr.; sister-in-law, Bonnie Lawalin; and a step grandchild, Charlie.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
