Gary W. Goodwin, 67, of Hamilton Square, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Born in Trenton, Gary was raised in Groveville. He settled down in Hamilton Square over 20 years ago. He graduated from Steinert High School and went on to own a Charlie Chip Truck prior to working as a security guard at Mercer County College and serving as the supervisor of mail services with the New Jersey State Division of Revenue. He retired after 26 years of service with the state.
Gary enjoyed the outdoors. He loved working in his vegetable garden, bow and arrow hunting, going fishing; including salmon fishing in Lake Ontario and fishing in Assunpink Lake. He also loved to go riding on his Harley. Gary was a fabulous cook.
Predeceased by his father, Wayne Goodwin; his sister, Judy Davies; his father-in-law, Stanley Mroz; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Betsey) Gimmi; and his brother-in-law, Todd Washington; Gary is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Susan (Mroz) Goodwin; his son and daughter-in-law, Gary M. and Stephanie Goodwin; his mother, Gloria (Carey) Goodwin; his sister, Cindy Beckett; his brothers, Scott Goodwin and his wife Kelly, and Randy Goodwin; his brother-in-law Keith Davies; his former wife, Bethann Goodwin; his mother-in-law, Vivien Mroz; his sister-in-law, Dina Washington; his brother-in-law, Dana Gimmi; and his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
Cremation will be private.

Gary,
I'm sorry I missed the service, I didn't know. One thing I do know is you are in heaven making everyone laugh. Gary always had a great since of humor. He was a hard worker and a great friend. He supported me in my younger years. I will never forget. I pray God will watch over his family and ease the pain.
