Gary was born in Princeton, NJ. He lived in North Brunswick all of his life. He served his country as a chef in the United States Navy. He worked as a custodian at Rutgers University, New Brunswick for 15 years before his retirement.
Gary is predeceased by his father Carl S. Herzog. He is survived by his mother Caroline Herzog of North Brunswick; 2 sisters – Terry Beer and her husband Mike of Monroe and Patricia Herzog of Springhill, FL; and a brother Cliff Herzog of North Brunswick.
Private cremation was under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ.
