Suzanne,my heart is broken. I feel like I knew you and Gary all of my life. He was a wonderful person. The obituary mentioned how he loved a joke and I can remember many times that he laughed at his own joke so hard he cried. He was a wonderful father and was one of my Dad's favorite people. Andrea loved her"Uncle Gary" as well. We are sending your family love and prayers.

I was saddened to read about the loss of Gary. Although it was not mentioned, Gary did teach middle school for a few years. I got to know him at Wicomico Middle School and always thought a GREAT deal of him. I was very sorry to see him leave education but it was good for him. He was very personable and a very good teacher. I send my deepest sympathies to his family at this great loss. Tony Sarbanes

I first met Gary when he was a coach and I was a player at the Salisbury Pony League. When I was in college, I would meet with him at his office to discuss various summer job openings. Later, I worked for the state and his office was next to mine and we would talk sports and what was going on. He always shared a joke and had this great laugh that you could never forget. He was a good person and a great role model. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
