Gary E. Pegg
Gary E. Pegg, 77, of Yorktown, IN, formerly of Redkey, IN, passed away October 8, 2024, peacefully while in the company of family members at IU West Hospital in Avon, IN. Gary was born in Portland, IN, on November 3, 1946, a son of the late Louise Mae (Booher) and Charles LeRoy Pegg. He was a 1964 graduate of Redkey High School, received an engineering degree from Elkhart University, and an associate degree in business from Indiana Wesleyan. Gary proudly served our country in the United States Navy as a field medic and dedicated over 35 years to Borg Warner (Warner Gear) in Muncie, IN, as Sr. Manufacturing Engineer and Manager before his retirement. He is the loving husband of Patty Ann (Nichols) Pegg who he happily married on January 11, 1969. The couple traveled the world together. Gary was a member of Masonic Lodge #298 in Redkey, IN, Muncie Elks Lodge and enjoyed golf, cooking, watching the Hallmark Channel, traveling the globe and spending time with his 3 grandsons. He is survived by his lovely wife Patricia Ann Pegg, son Todd Matthew Pegg (wife Amy), brother Charles Randall Pegg (wife Judy), and triplet grandsons Mike, Nick, and Garrett Pegg. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Louise Pegg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 12-2 PM at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. Graveside services and military honors will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey, IN, at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
