Turcotte-Piper MortuaryGary Rankin, 63, of Kingsville passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025.He was born January 12, 1962 in Kingsville. He passed peacefully at home holding his wife’s hand. He had been diagnosed with terminal cancer on September 19, 2025.
His parents were Jackie Rankin and Loretta Maria Troppy Rankin. He was a very skilled and meticulous welder and was well known for his precision welding.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Jackie Rankin and Loretta Maria Troppy Rankin.
He is survived by his wife Pamela (Albright) Rankin and very close and special cousins Tommy (Jane) Goode and Cole Buckalew of Kingsville and Lou Ann (Buckalew) Smith of Hitchcock, TX, Russel (Tiffani) Schwirtlich and Wyatt and Caroline of Bay City, TX, and Brooke Schwirtlich of Splendora, TX, and two very close friends Forrest Hannon and Jason Hall.
The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, TX; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Kingsville.

Gary will be remembered for his starched jeans and shirts, his love for his jet boat, good times spent with friends, the thoroughness with which he performed tasks, and his “charming” personality.
