Born July 15, 1962, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late William Cox and Elsie Helms Cox.
Gary worked as a brick layer for most of his life and had a love for music and muscle cars. His greatest joy was spending time with children and grandchildren.
He is survived by seven children: Kristy Gervasi, Keith Skeen, Gary Skeen, Jr., Nicholas Bonafide, Steven Skeen, Zachary Skeen and Jacob Skeen; fifteen grandchildren; four siblings: Brian Skeen, Dana Skeen, Dale Cox and Laurie Cox-Rondomanski; his former companion: Michelle Bonafide; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother: Keith Skeen; and his wife: Barbara (Gallup) Skeen.
The funeral was held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, officiated by Rev. Robert Vigil. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA.
Pallbearers: Keith Skeen, Gary Skeen, Jr., Nicholas Bonafide, Zachary Skeen and Jacob Skeen.
Viewing hours were held Friday, June 27, 2025 from 4-7 p.m.
