Gary Lee Stowell

Gary Lee Stowell, 69, of Lapeer, passed away on May 27, 2023. He was born in Pontiac, MI on May 17, 1954, to the late Elmer and Mary Stowell. Gary was a kindhearted "old coot" with a good sense of humor, who loved the Three Stooges. He was an accomplished and avid bowler. Gary enjoyed riding his motorcycle and farming. He worked for many years as a field guide at Hunters Creek Club in Metamora and Bourbon Barrel Hunt Club in Imlay City. Gary was loved and will be missed.
Gary is survived by his brothers Duane (Michelle) Stowell of Attica, Timothy Stowell of Caro, and Mike Stowell of Elba; sisters Karen (Donald) Whittkoft of Metamora and Lynette (Dale) Shank of Lapeer; also many nieces and nephews.
Friend may visit on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 11-1 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A brief service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Gary will be laid to rest at Hunters Creek Cemetery in Lapeer Township.
