Gary Lee Whiteaker, 64, of Richland Center passed away at Vernon Memorial Hospital on January 2, 2023. He was born on April 11, 1958, the son of Gerald and Aurelia (Knaus) Whiteaker. Gary enjoyed many years of over the road truck driving. He had many hobbies such as: hunting, fishing, demolition derbies and being outdoors. Gary loved spending time with this grandkids and family.
Gary is survived by his significant other Ramona Figeley;
son: Josh (Bridget) O'Connell;
daughter: Melinda (Patrick) Figeley;
grandchildren: Miaya, Gavin, Briston, Kiara, Gaege, and Dryver O'Connell, Kash and Kye O'Neill and a new grandbaby in August;
two sisters: Mae Halverson and Rose (Paul) Gunderson;
six brothers: Elmer (Amy) Whiteaker, Raymond (Liz) Whiteaker, Harold (Eldora) Whiteaker, Cecil Whiteaker, Alvin (Laura) Whiteaker, Ted (Jill) Whiteaker;
special nephews: Doug Whiteaker, David 'Gundy' Gunderson;
special friends: Annabelle 'Ma' Riley, Lenny and Jim;
many other relatives and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Aurelia Whiteaker; brothers Verlin and Wesley; sisters Dena Hatlan, Mildred and Estel Whiteaker; brothers-in-law: David Halverson, Phillip Gunderson, Junior Hatlan; goddaughters Diane Whiteaker and Rosilie Dutka; special friend Trina Ducharmer, many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
