Gene Williams Gibson, Jr. was born on September 8, 1953, in Alamance County, and he passed away on October 16, 2024, at his residence, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to family. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Gene served his country with honor and integrity.
Gene was a family man. He is survived by his beloved sons, Chad Gibson Sr. and wife Peggy, and Jared Gibson; his grandchildren, Chad Gibson Jr., Naomi Gibson, and Brandon Summers; great grandson, Sebastian Glenn Gibson; sister, Jen Faye and her husband Steve Miani; and brother, Chris Gibson, all of whom shared cherished memories.
In death, Gene reunites with those he has missed dearly, including his mother, Clara Terrell Gibson, and father, Gene William Gibson Sr. His heart remains forever touched by the memory of his grandson, Sebastian Bo Gibson, whose presence is deeply cherished.
Beyond the cherished moments spent with family, Gene found solace in nature. He loved spending his time ocean fishing and canoeing. Music also played a significant role in his life; whether he was listening to his favorite tunes or playing his guitar, Gene found a rhythm that brought him joy and connection.
