Gene Josephs Obituary
Passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2025. Gene was a pillar of the community on the West Side where he was born and raised and ran Josephs Market, with his wife, Irene, for 38 years. Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine; father, Bud; his sisters, Shirley, Carol, Elizabeth. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene; sister, Judy; children, Jamie (Kelly), Dori (Alan), Tanya, and Mark (Laurie); nephew, Joseph Ruiz; grandchildren, Jesse, Amanda, Jensen and Tyler.
Funeral Mass 11:00 am Thursday, August 28th, at Holy Family Maronite Church, 1960 Lexington Ave. S., Mendota Heights. Visitation 10:00-11:00 am prior to Mass. Luncheon following. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. He was such a good friend and a special person Irene. My youngest kids always loved stopping by the store after school at St Michael's and getting a free snack from Gene my Annya always got so excited because he let her get a free small chocolate milk and he always made time to talk to them they really enjoyed that very much.Gene and my father were very good friends for at least 40 years and I'm very grateful for meeting and knowing Gene myself for 40 years or more he always was smiling and friendly. I will sincerely miss him as he was one of the nicest people I've ever known. I loved his kibi, garlic sauce,and chorizo it was the best yiu buy anywhere May he rest in peace in heaven. A Very Grateful FRIEND Indeed THANKS GENE For all the WONDERFUL Memories Sincerely Jack Gutzman
