Gene Manis

Gene Lee Manis, age 84, of Philadelphia, Tn. passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, December 8, 2024. Gene was saved on October 16, 1997 and would gladly tell you about his Savior Jesus Christ. He was ready to go home to be with the Lord and see family who went before him and with a "woohoo" he said I made it home. He was a faithful member of Shelton Grove Baptist Church. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Grace (Blackburn) Manis; brothers, Bob Manis, Bill (Velma) Manis, and Henry (Nellie) Manis; sister, Liz (George) Smith. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia "Patsy" Manis; sons, Mark (Kelly) Manis, Michael (P-Nut) Manis and Tommy (Lisa) Arden; grandchildren, Grace Manis, Whitney (Samuel) Curtis, and Jacob (Sydni) Arden; great grandchildren, Izzie and Addie Curtis; sisters-in-law, Lou Ella Manis, and Brenda Bowers; brother-in-law, Dwayne Feezell. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Amedisys, especially his nurse Jessica and his CNAs. A special thank you to family who took their time to sit long hours and comfort him and his love, Patricia. Services honoring and remembering Gene, will be held 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10th, in the McGill Click Chapel with Rev. Gerald Lynna and Rev. Tim Watson officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 11th, in New Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Mark Manis officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 N, Loudon.
