Geneva married Hal Samuels Cloward on September 1, 1967 in Manti, Utah. She leaves behind their 4 children, Jay, Susie (Marcus), Gerry, Sam (Erin), and 6 grandchildren, Emma, Elizabeth, Paige, Ben, Astrid & Roman.
Mom taught in the Granite School District for 26 years until her retirement in 2010. She made a positive impact on hundreds of children & made lifelong friends with coworkers, some of whom she still met monthly for a "retirement lunch." She loved music, reading, traveling (especially with her sisters), Christmas, Gerry's baking (chocolate chip cookies were a favorite), slot machines & spoiling her grandchildren. Was also known to enjoy a night out in Mesquite, a near slushy Diet Code, and some butter with a little lobster. Had a great sense of humor and an unmistakable laugh. Was an avid reader of fictional crime novels. We are sure she could have had a second career solving murders.
Geneva is survived by her children & grandchildren; preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings Janice, Molly & Jim.
All are invited to attend her graveside service on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm. South Jordan Cemetery, 10630 s. 1055 w. South Jordan, Utah 84095

We are saddened to hear of Geneva´s passing. We loved Geneva as a neighbor and friend. I have so many wonderful memories of Geneva. She was my kids first piano teacher. She was the first door they would trick or treat to each year. There was never a need to go find fireworks because there was a great display right next door. She was kind and generous. Even after we moved I looked forward to her letters at Christmas. She will be dearly missed.

I knew Geneva when I subbed at Bacchus Elementary. She taught my daughters. Wonderful teacher, blessed friend, I will miss her.
