Margaret Geneva "Jenny" Owens Pulliam, age 91, departed this earthly life on August 17, 2025, embracing the promise of her heavenly home. She now rejoices with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, reunited with her beloved husband and two sons, as well as countless relatives and cherished friends who have gone before her. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Theron and Blanche Andrews Owens, her loving husband of 55 years, Emmett Pulliam, and two dear sons, Kim Rodney Pulliam and Kenny Regan Pulliam. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Airman 1/C Leonard Grady Owens and Virgil Lane Owens. Though their absence was keenly felt, Geneva carried memories of her loved ones tenderly within her heart, their spirits guiding her through each day. Following her graduation from Carnesville High School in 1952, Geneva pursued further studies at Marsh Business School in Atlanta, equipping herself with skills that would serve her well in the years ahead. She dedicated 43 years to a distinguished career at General Electric Capital Corporation, rising to the role of Executive Administrative Assistant under five successive Regional Managers. Amid the routines of corporate life, Geneva never lost her love for the outdoors-her true sanctuary was her yard, where she lovingly tended to blooming flowers and found solace in the earth's quiet beauty. In quieter moments, she found joy in reading and writing poetry, nurturing her spirit with words as tenderly as she did her cherished garden. Accepting the Lord as her Savior in 1971, Geneva's faith became the cornerstone of her daily life. After retiring and moving back to Franklin County, Geneva attended Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville, GA, where she had gone as a child. As an active member, she participated wholeheartedly for many years, strengthening bonds in her community through fellowship and unwavering devotion. Geneva's journey was one of resilience. Through seasons of loss and celebration, she remained a pillar of strength for those she loved. In remembrance of Geneva, we acknowledge her enduring legacy defined by faith and steadfast commitment. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Brenda Owens of Hull, GA; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl E. Pulliam of Royston, GA; grandchildren: Joey Pulliam of Atlanta, GA, Cory and Carrie Pulliam of Lavonia, GA, Angel Pulliam of Royston, GA, Tiffany and David Talley of Dunwoody, GA, and Thomas Pulliam of Miami, FL; ten great-grandchildren: Cody, Cole, Collin, and Clay Vaughn, Chasey Whaley, Chloe, and Carah Pulliam, and Greyson, Everett, and Levi Talley; and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Pulliam will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, in the Liberty Baptist Church of Carnesville with Rev. Cory Pulliam officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens- North in Lavonia. The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Friday afternoon. During other times the family will be at their respective homes. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church or the charity of one's choice.
