Geoffrey James Richard Stewart, 51, passed away suddenly on September 20, 2024 at his home in Naperville, Illinois. Geoff was born on May 4, 1973, in Chicago. He was a graduate of West Leyden High School, Northlake, and worked in the printing industry for 25 years, currently employed at Dedicated Graphics and past president of the Elmhurst Jaycees.
Geoff is the beloved son of Christel Scheel Stewart and the late James Biehl Stewart; youngest brother of Michael (Terri) Stewart and Thomas (Sharon) Stewart; incredibly proud Uncle of Samantha, Benjamin, Brian, and Sophia Stewart; loving cousin of many.
Family meant everything to Geoff. His passion for genealogy brought together many relatives who otherwise would have never met and formed lasting relationships. He was especially devoted to his mother, whom he cared for with love and kindness. Their bond was a testament to his character-always putting her needs first and providing companionship.
Geoff had a unique gift for bringing joy to those around him. He found immense happiness in making others smile, often through his perceptive observations of the little things. Whether it was a thoughtful gift, or simply sharing a kind word, Geoff had an extraordinary ability to connect with people and make them feel valued.
He will be remembered not just for his love of family, but also for his warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 3-6:00PM with a Memorial Service at 5:00PM at the Yurs Funeral Home of Geneva, 1771 W. State Street.
