HEBRON ---- George Stephen Andrews, 75, of Hebron, NH, passed away peacefully, on Monday, August 11, 2025.
George was born on September 25, 1949, in New Haven, CT, the son of George F. Andrews and Lucille (Doorman) Andrews.
George was known for his outgoing spirit, jovial sense of humor and unwavering honesty. He was a loving husband, devoted brother and uncle and a lifelong animal lover who shared his home with his beloved cats, Phineas, Jake and Harriet.
For over 40 years, George was a proud member of the Yale University community, where he made a lasting impact by creating the institution's laser safety program. He also served as Yale's rifle coach, mentoring generations of students with patience and precision. George was a licensed Ham radio operator and enthusiast who loved connecting with people around the world.
A passionate outdoorsman, he found joy in hiking, biking and shooting sports. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a generous supporter of Haven Pregnancy Services in Plymouth, NH.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Maria (Tomaszek) Andrews of Hebron, sister Catherine Andrews of CT and nieces and nephew, Wray Serna of New York City, NY, Aaron Hildebrand of VT and Jenna Shepard-Hildebrand of VT. In addition to his parents, George is predeceased by his brother Harold Andrews.
A Celebration of George's Life will be announced at a later date.
