Age 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family due to complications of Parkinson's disease. George was born in Milwaukee and attended Our Lady of Sorrows and John Marshall High School before obtaining his plumbing license. During his 40 year career, he worked at R.A. Bachman, Bohmann & Vick and finally the Grunau Corporation where he made lasting friendships and memories. His craftsmanship touched countless projects throughout the city of Milwaukee.
His greatest accomplishment was his 42 year marriage to his wife Christine and the family they built. He is survived by his wife, Chris, and his children Jessica & Mike Chesna and Alex & Kristin Bachman. He was a beloved grandpa to George and Ellie Chesna. He is further survived by his siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, colleagues, and friends.
George loved fishing and being up north at the lake. A perpetual extrovert, he became friends with anyone in his orbit and had a remarkable way of bonding with people. He was the life of the party and a relentless jokester.
A visitation will be held May 16th at St. Dominic's Catholic Parish, Brookfield from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM.
A Celebration of Life to follow at Mitchell Park from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Lumberjack floats will be served.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for a donation to a memorial placed for him at a local park.

Dear Chris and Family, You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Although I only met George a few times, I always enjoyed his humor and his graciousness! I'm in Boston with my granddaughter until late May, but I am thinking of all of you-especially on May 16th.
Warmest regards, Sheila Fabiszak
