Congratulations, George, for a life well lived. You did it all!
And, deepest condolences to Marigene and your lovely family, your strength.
You'll be missed, but you haven't gone far. I'm confident your spiritual presence will always be present and with them.
Thank you for our childhood and being such a wonderful cousin. To this day, I still recall wonderful times - even in tough times - at Lea's...the sand pile, peaches, games and most, your Mom & Dad, your wonderful train set, and forever, your infectious laughter.
God bless, George, and thank you for the blessings you brought to my life and ours.
Love Grace Peace Light

As a classmate at Malvern Prep. George was quiet and well liked, during a mock election campaign in Mr. Cashman's class George ran for president, unfortunately, George did not get the presidency but did get elected as secretary of the treasury. Pat Driscoll, Malvern class of 1965.

To the Family of George William Bender III,
Please accept my deepest condolences for George's passing.
George and I shared a special bond that began at Malvern Prep, where we played baseball together, and continued through our formative years at Villanova University. We were often in each other´s company during some of the most special times of our lives, attending class and studying together, going to football and basketball games, double-dating, attending proms, dances, and celebrations, always cheering for the Wildcats and enjoying each other´s friendship.
Although time and life´s responsibilities eventually distanced us, George has remained in my thoughts as one of my closest friends during those meaningful years. He was a good man, loyal, kind, full of character, with a good sense of humor. I am grateful for the friendship we shared and the memories we created together.
May your family find comfort in George's legacy of love and strength, and may he rest in peace.
With sympathy and respect,
Ronald J. Fichera

I didn't know George very well at Malvern, but what I do remember is that he was a good man as well as a good classmate. Bill Malarkey '65.
