George Blair Obituary
He was born on September 13, 1943, in Camp Mackall, North Carolina, to Donald and Beatrice (Tew) Blair. George married Linda Shively at the Fort Shafter Chapel in Hawaii on January 24, 1970. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
George worked as an insurance underwriter and was known for his love of hiking, traveling, and detailing cars.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Blair of North Manchester; his son, Michael (Deanna) Blair of Indianapolis, Indiana; and two sisters, Martha Couey and Bernardine Couey, both of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kay Jackson.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Grandstaff Hentgen Funeral Service, 207 W. Main Street, North Manchester.
Preferred memorial is Alzheimer's Association.
