George W. Brewer, 78, of Cornwall passed away on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, at Cornwall Manor. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann (Otto) Brewer, with whom he was married to for over 51 years. Born in Lebanon, PA on May 6th, 1947, he was the son of the late George A. and Joyce E. (Templin) Brewer. George was a graduate of South Lebanon High School Class of 1965. He graduated from Penn State University in 1969 with a degree in Quantitative Business Analysis, and a minor in Psychology. George played snare drum in the Blue Band and was on the tennis team. He also marched with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps and was a volunteer fireman for Lebanon Chemical Fire Company. George was a branch manager for American Bank, fiscal manager for MHMR of Lebanon County, car salesman, finance and insurance manager at Ebersole Honda GMC, and store manager for two cellular companies. He served in the PA Army National Guard from 1970-1976, where he was shift supervisor for payroll, achieving a rank of Staff Sergeant. George was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd where he served as an usher, Church school teacher of adults, facilitator of a small group, chairman of Church council, chairman of administrative board, trustee, Staff Parish Relations committee, chairman of finance and stewardship, equipping team and mentor. He loved the Lord and served Him all his life. In addition, George was an avid Lionel train collector inspired as a young child by his grandfather. He was a faithful and devoted Christian, who was a loving and devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Jeremy W. Brewer, husband of Megan Nelson of Lititz, and two grandchildren, Caiden and Lonna Nelson. George was preceded in death by his brother, James Brewer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at Church of the Good Shepherd, 1500 Quentin Road Lebanon, PA 17042. Visitation and luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, to Cornwall Manor Benevolent Care Fund by adding "Benevolent Care Fund" in the memo of the check, 1 Boyd St. Cornwall, PA 17016, or to Hospice for All Seasons, 280 S. Hill Dr. Grantville, PA 17028. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville is handling arrangements.
