George Brumage Obituary
George E. Brumage, 95, of Zanesville, died at 4:15 A.M. on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the home he built surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 16, 1929, in Zanesville, a son of the late Noel and Louise (Knapp) Brumage. He was a steel worker for 38 years at Armco Steel Corporation, enjoyed his animals, ice cream, pie, woodworking and loved to mow his grass on his Kubota tractor. George proudly served our country in the United State Army but above all he was a fantastic father, grandfather and loved his wife and family dearly.
He is survived by his four daughters, Kathy (Thomas) Sorg, Peg (Don) Weaver, Tina (Tom) Stevens and Sue (Pat) Foraker; eleven grandchildren, Lisa, Jamey, Mandy, Ashley, Brent, Kyle, Carrie, Bethany, Morgan, Brett and Shawn; and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Rose L. (Barnes) Brumage, whom he married on September 26, 1953 and died on February 18, 2023; and a brother, Noel W. Brumage.
Private Graveside Services will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, May 2, 2024, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. George will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Rose.
