My condolences to George´ s family. He and I attended UMASS together and lived in the same dorm and were ROTC brothers. We lost contact after graduation, but I remember him as a good guy.

My condolences to Mr Byers family and friends. He was my favorite teacher in high school. My favorite class was his accounting class. The one class I never minded going too and do all the work. May your memories of him help you all through the tough days and weeks ahead. RIP Mr. Byers.

To those left behind, my heartfelt condolences to you all. George was one of those amazing human beings, always willing to help you out and always had a beautiful smile. I learned so much from him. I had him for my business/accounting classes in the late 70´s. He made learning fun and I have used the skills he taught me throughout my life. I enjoyed playing online scrabble with him a few years back. I would get quite the chuckle when I would play a word that blew him away. I have many fond memories of him from classes to him taking on the duty of class advisor. Rest peacefully George.

You were blessed if you ever had Mr Byers for a teacher. He taught me how to balance my checkbook, with patience. He was much more than a teacher, he was like a friend to all. Douglas was fortunate to have him, as were all his students. So sorry for the loss of your husband and dad. Praying you feel the comfort of Jesus in the darkest days. God bless your family.
