George Cancienne, Jr. passed away at his residence on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the age of 62. He was born in Lutcher, LA and was a longtime resident of Reserve, LA. George graduated from Nicholls State University in Computer Science. He retired from the St. Bernard Parish School System.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Shirley Oubre Cancienne, and sister-in-law, Karen Cancienne.
He is survived by his siblings, Craig Cancienne (Beth), Wayne Cancienne (Grace), Jason Cancienne (Gina), Donna Mabile (Terry), Alan Cancienne (Gina), and Randy Cancienne (Michelle). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, January 20, 2025 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 Hwy 44, Reserve, LA on Monday, January 20, 2025. Visitation will be held in Church from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Inurnment in St. Peter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org
