William Cancienne Obituary
He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 30, 1952, to the late William J. Cancienne, Sr. and late, Yvonne Rita Walle.
Will was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: -Christopher J. Cancienne, and John J. Cancienne.
He is survived by his wife Ashlynn A. Cancienne, his 2 children: William "Tiger" J. Cancienne, III (Toni), and Joan Marie Cancienne Esteve (late, Michael), 5 grandchildren: William J. Cancienne IV, Breanna M. Todaro, Candace M. Cancienne, Nikki Cancienne Brandon, and Brittany Jones Lynch, along with 9 great-grandchildren. Will is also survived
by 5 brothers: Michael P. Cancienne (Linda), Richard J. Cancienne (Rachael), David J. Cancienne, Frankie J. Cancienne (Shelly) and Robert S. Littmann (Lisa), his nieces and nephews: Christian M. Cancienne, Kristie Cancienne Lotts (Keith), Katie L. Cancienne, Michael P. Cancienne, Jr., Heidi Cancienne Malone, and David J. Cancienne, Jr.
Will worked on the Inland waterways system on the Mississippi River for various companies. The last company he worked for was ADM/ARTCO as a Line Boat Captain. His life was the "River."
Will loved going on vacations, camping, and boiling crawfish with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fixing things. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with a service starting at 11:00 am. A burial will follow immediately after services.
