George W. Clapper, age 70, passed away surrounded by family on June 1, 2022. He was born in Zanesville, OH to the late Willis "Leon" and Mary E. (Chapman) Clapper on September 12, 1951. Graduate of Franklin Heights High School class of 1970. George enjoyed a full career with the USPS as a mail carrier for over 20 years. He loved music, NASCAR, and his beloved dog, Zeus. His daughters meant the world to him. Two of his favorite past times were going to OSU hockey games with his daughter, Kayleigh and attending anime conventions with his daughter, Kristen. George was a lifetime member of the NRA. George is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 45 loving years, Deborah; daughters, Kayleigh (Meghan) and Kristen (Tim); grandchildren, Micheal and Brie; mother-in-law, JoAnn; sisters-in-law, Karen and Cheri (Bob); many nieces, nephew, cousins, and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's name may be made to local animal shelters or rescues and the M.A.S.H. Pantry, 2996 Columbus St., Grove City, OH 43123. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and nursing staff at Riverside Hospital, especially in the ICU unit. In accordance with George's wishes, no services will be held.

I enjoyed talking to George about music as he was well versed in that area.He made a couple CDs for me too.He was a very nice man to work with as a fellow carrier at the alincoln Village branch P.O.My condolences to you, his family and friends.
